As part of the Heritage Project, we visited Pickering Park with the Parents Group! We looked at the history of the place, along with recalling our own memories, and making new ones with the kids with a delicious picnic.  

The girls had a great time splashing about in the pool and having a water fight in the sunshine. They'd been looking forward to their second credits party after the success of the PJ party, and with slushies, more slime, two swimming pools, and a bunch of fresh fruit, we'd say this lived up to the hype! 

They're already planning their next treat they can earn through credits, and we're seeing a great improvement in how they're treating each other in sessions, so it's a win-win all around. Bring on the next trip! 

It's been far too long since we were able to take the young people to the beach, and although we weren't able to take everyone this time, we're overjoyed to have been able to take the older groups to Hornsea for the day! 

We had a laugh taking the bus to get there and back instead of hiring a coach like previous years, but a nice ice cream after all that salty air and sea had us nodding off on the drive back. 

The young people had an amazing time together and we're glad we could facilitate this trip after they had been so eager to suggest it and help plan it. Hopefully, we'll be able to do the same again next year with more good weather and make more memories!
