Our Volunteers

Hessle Road Network has some great volunteering opportunities available, we rely so much on our amazing volunteers, and couldn't deliver the quality of service we do  without them.
There are many ways that you can volunteer here at Hessle Road Network:
Charity Shop
Befriender in Coffee Morning Sessions
Café
Events
Young Parents Group
Young volunteers can also help out in our younger youth sessions

We supply all volunteers with DBS's and reimburse travel expenses.

Angie
Volunteer
Angie's loving being in the coffee morning sessions as she's met tons of new people. She said she finds it relaxing in there and it helps with her self-confidence. You'll catch her at bingo, the pub or out with her 5 grandkids if she's not volunteering!
Picture
Lorraine
volunteer
Lorraine worked at Hessle Road Network for over 5 years, and after retirement she still missed us enough to come back as a volunteer! You will always find her chatting and smiling behind the counter serving delicious teas and coffees during our Coffee Morning session.

Teresa

This busy bee never stops when she's in the shop! Her and Lily are a dream team to chat to and grab a bargain.

Dave

Dave is a great help, always delivering the fantastic donations he arranges for the project and dressing up as our yearly Santa for the local families.

Kay

Kay loves volunteering during the coffee morning and at our community events as it means she gets to have a good gab.
Picture
Tina
Volunteer
Tina is a little busy bee in the kitchen during our Monday Community session, and takes great pride in making delicious lunches for those that attend. She always has a smile on her face and will always have a chat with anyone.

Linsey
VOLUNTEER
You will find Linsey (not pictured above) in the Monday Community session. She enjoys nothing more than helping out
wherever she can, and turns her hand at anything.

Jan
Volunteer
Jan is a huge help and great laugh in the Thursday Coffee Morning. She recently retired as a Nurse at Hull Women and Children's Hospital and now spends her time either with her family (specifically her lovely grandkids) and volunteering at Network.
Picture
Lisa
Volunteer
Lisa loves helping out at Network in sessions and getting to meet new people is the cherry on top. She says that it gives her confidence. If she's not at Network, she'll be at bingo, the pub, or with her 6 grandchildren.

Jane
VOLUNTEER
It takes a lot for Jane to stop working on the garden. Who'd have thought dried squid would have done the trick?
Picture
Chloe
VOLUNTEER
Chloe loves volunteering in the younger sessions as her hobbies are playing sports and looking after children. She has come to Network since she was 9, so has practically been one of the team for years already!
Picture
Ashleigh
Volunteer
Ashleigh volunteers in the day sessions & events as she likes to give back to her local community and try to make a difference for our service users. She's super friendly and chatty, especially when it comes to football, her sons, coffee or a good dad joke; she's always up for a bit of banter.
Picture
Charlie
volunteer
Charlie is passionate about sports & helping out his community. He's able to share that in both the community and younger sessions, letting the young people sprint out their energy with him on the field or in the hall and chatting the older service users' ears off. He's always a solid help during our events too!
Picture
Lizzie
VOLUNTEER
Always wearing a smile, Lizzie is happy to get out and about and meet new people. She's been getting stuck in with the sessions and allotment and is always offering a helping hand or sharing a great 'top tip'.
