We had another great coffee morning attended this week by Emma Hardy. It was good to have a catch up and a chat about what we’ve been doing recently, we hope she can come by and visit the community group again soon.

We would like to say a big thank you to the Lord Mayor for coming along to the project to present the team with a Lord Mayor's Certificate to commemorate the work we've done in our community over the last year. We were happy to show her around the project, including the charity shop, and had a great chat with her.
We were very grateful to be able to open the charity shop again, not only so people can come back in and use the shop, but also so that we could have our volunteers back and working! They couldn't wait for the opportunity and were excited to be back in with us.
We would like to say a big thank you to Healthy Holidays for providing us with enough Creativity Packs and Sports Bags for our young people and the Young Parents Group. They were really appreciated and made for some really fun and exciting sessions!
After supplying young people with sports packs during previous half terms, we decided to try asking them what specific sports equipment they may like to take away with them.
We bought footballs, velcro catch, frisbees, badminton sets, ping pong sets, rounders sets, blow up balls and chalks to give out to young people we saw on the parks as we walked around. This way the young people were able to play with the sports equipment that they wanted on the park immediately. |
