We have begun delivering outreach on West Park and the Hessle Road area. It is great to see so many familiar faces and some new ones too. We have been able to connect with young people that we have not been able to reach throughout the lockdown, as well as engage lots of new young people. We are offering snacks, drinks, a friendly chat, and any advice young people need - we have lots of resources and information to hand out to young people if they need any additional support. 

Drop offs for food parcels have kept us al busy here at Network; we've had our cars stacked full to the brim! We've been thankful that we've been able to continue supporting our local community in any way that's helped, whether that's been helping out with a little extra food or getting to have a good chat with staff. And we've got no plans of stopping anytime soon! We'll continue to delivery and supply food parcels to those that need them all through the summer as well. 

We have been looking for new ways to engage with the young people under the current circumstances. Our girl's group are loving meeting up with Youth Workers and peers in a weekly zoo session. We have done quizzes, charades, competitions, crafts, team games, TikTok dances, and had tons of fun! This has been really positive for young people in preventing their isolation due to not being able to attend school or after school activities and allowing a bit or normality in their week. Young people have been able to speak about their worries around Covid-19 and what they have found difficult about being in lockdown. We have also spoke to the young people who are due to be transitioning into High School this year and their feelings around this as they have been unable to have the transition that they would in normal circumstances, such as school visits. We are really enjoying seeing the young people and connecting with them as best we can!
